It’s almost turkey time! Gobble gobble

I absolutely LOVE Thanksgiving. Now that I don’t work in retail, that is. The food, relaxing, spending time with the family…I wouldn’t complain if Thanksgiving was every month.

But what I don’t get is those ambitious people that like to run a 5 or 10k on Thanksgiving or the day after. They must be nuts! No way would you catch me exercising that hard after stuffing myself with stuffing (and everything else!) I will lounge on the couch or go for a leisurely walk in the park, thank you.

I found this vintage shirt at the thrift store and thought it would make a cute tote-style bag. Just look at that cool turkey, with his Hawaiian shorts and rad running shoes:

The color combo is great! I had some orange left over from a previous project, perfect for the inside. Here are all the pieces, and sorry about the lighting. I like to do prep work while little Mr. Is sleeping ;)

Square bags are super simple so this one was all done with just about an hour of actual sewing.

Know a runner? This would make a super cool Christmas gift! It’s for sale now on Etsy.

Next week I’ll preview a few new holiday items and special deals that start on Black Friday in the bohoECO store.

And if you’re skipping the insanity of Black Friday this year, don’t forget about Small Business Saturday. Show your local businesses some love!
